Two volumes and one supplementary volume (all published) The first two volumes bound in the publisher’s original dark green moiré cloth, the upper boards of each volume decoratively gilt-blocked and lettered ‘Rayner’s Haddon Hall’, the supplementary volume bound in the publisher’s original dark green cloth, the centre of the upper board gilt-lettered ‘Rayner’s Haddon Hall Supplement’, the original glazed yellow endpapers to all three volumes; [10], 20; 21-53, [3]pp.; [6]pp, with a list of subscribers, and Moseley’s prospectus slip inserted after the preface to volume one, 36 engraved proof plates on india paper, the supplementary volume contains a lithographed plan of the Hall and a further 5 lithographed plates by Hullmandel, of which 4 are tinted; a bright, clean set.

Provenance: The attractive engraved trade card of the publisher Robert Moseley “Carver and Gilder to the King, Jeweller, Silversmith ... Picture Gallery & Fancy Repository, Derby...” to the front pastedown of the first two volumes; the early engraved card of “Derbyshire Museum No. 36 Corn Market, Derby.
