Bound by Riviere in half chestnut crushed morocco over cloth-covered boards, with their neat ink stamp to the upper edge of the verso of the f.f.e.p., the spine divided into six compartments with raised bands gilt, the second and third compartments lettered in gilt, the remainder decorated with a fleur-de-lys gilt centre tool, a.e.g., marbled endpapers; xvi, 427, [1]pp., 36 plates hors texte, 12 b/w figures within the text; ex-libris the National Central Library with a neat round stamp at the foot of the title page, small ink stamp accession number to the verso of the same, no other markings; a bright, clean copy in a handsome binding with minor rubbing to the corners and the joints, a small bump to the fore edge of the upper board.
