Griggs and others, within the text; slight time-darkening to the spine, very small magenta ink mark to the top edge of the upper board, possibly occurring when the limitation was numbered (see below), otherwise an exceptionally bright, crisp copy of a rare title.

One of only 50 numbered copies bound in gilt-stamped cream cloth (as opposed to the green cloth of the ordinary issue limited to 200 copies), and ‘issued on paper with the Essex House Press mark and reserved for Subscribers to the Press.’ This copy numbered in magenta ink ‘48’.
